Terms of use
Last updated 20 October 2026. epnote is operated by PASTE_YOUR_FULL_LEGAL_NAME, 57299672066.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between you and PASTE_YOUR_FULL_LEGAL_NAME, 57299672066 ("epnote", "we"), a sole trader in Western Australia. They apply to the epnote website and app, with the privacy policy and the security page.
2. What epnote does, and what you do
epnote takes the measurements, details and answers you enter, calculates changes between the measurements, and lays the result out in a document template. It drafts factual sentences only from what you entered. It never writes a clinical conclusion, a recommendation, a treatment, a support or a number of hours: those sections are yours, and the app says so where it asks for them.
You are responsible for everything in a document you produce with epnote: its clinical content, your professional judgement, checking every value and sentence before you sign, and deciding whether and to whom to send it. Review every document before it leaves you.
3. Not medical, legal or billing advice
epnote is a documentation tool. Nothing in the app, its templates, its help text or its reports is medical, legal or billing advice. Funder rules, forms and schedules change; check the current requirement with the funder or your professional body.
4. Item codes and fees
epnote ships no fee schedule, rate table or item-code list. Every item code and fee in a document is entered by you from the current schedule that applies, and you are responsible for its accuracy.
5. Official forms and funders
The DVA forms and the WorkCover WA Treatment Management Plan that epnote fills belong to their issuing bodies. epnote fills in the version it holds; you are responsible for checking it is the version the funder currently accepts.
epnote is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), Services Australia, the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) or WorkCover WA. Their names appear only to identify which funder a document is for. epnote never submits anything to a funder portal: you download the document and send it yourself.
6. Your account and your documents
Exporting a report needs an account, created by signing in by Google, by email and password, or by email link. Keep your email account and your password secure: anyone who can open your email can sign in as you. Your documents live in your browser on your device, encrypted, and are not stored by epnote or in your account; see the privacy policy. Keep backups, protect your device, and clear the app's data from any device you stop using. Your obligations to your clients, including consent and record keeping, stay with you.
7. Free use
While epnote is in beta there is nothing to pay. An account can export three reports; founding testers, invited by us, export without limit for the length of the beta. We will tell you by email, well ahead, if that changes.
8. Acceptable use
- Use epnote for writing your own clinical documents as a health practitioner, or for evaluating it.
- Do not put real patient names or details in feedback. Feedback is stored on our servers; your documents are not.
- Do not share your account, resell access, or try to get around the free limit by creating accounts.
- Do not try to break, overload, probe or copy the service, or use it for anything unlawful.
We may limit or stop access for use that breaks these rules, and will tell you why.
9. Feedback
When you send feedback, you let us use it to improve epnote, without any obligation to you. We will not publish your name or email address.
10. The service
epnote is provided as is and as available. We work to keep it running and correct, but to the extent the law allows we make no promise that it will be uninterrupted, free of faults or fit for a particular purpose, and we may change it, with notice where a change affects how you work. The Australian Consumer Law gives you consumer guarantee rights that cannot be excluded; nothing here limits them.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, epnote and the person who operates it are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service, including loss of documents, delays, or a funder's decision on a document you sent. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited, at our choice, to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again, or, for a paid plan, to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the event.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and a material change is shown in the app before it takes effect. Using epnote after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Western Australia, and the courts of Western Australia have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
