What changed
- Added: a version and an effective date, so you can tell what you agreed to.
1. The free plan
An account starts on the free plan: you can write and preview as many documents as you like, and export 3 of them. The limit counts documents, not downloads: a document you have exported can be downloaded again in any format at no cost. Once the limit is reached, writing and previewing continue and exporting a new document needs a paid plan.
2. Solo
Solo removes the export limit for one exercise physiologist (one plan, one person). It is $29 a month, billed monthly, or $290 a year, billed yearly (two months free against the monthly price). The price you pay is the price shown when you subscribe; if a price changes we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you.
3. The founding offer
The first 50 EPs to take a paid plan can choose the founding offer: everything in Solo for $19 a year, billed yearly. The founding price stays at $19 a year on every renewal while your subscription stays active. If it lapses (you cancel, or a payment fails and is not resolved), the founding price ends and a new subscription is at the Solo price then current. The number of seats left is shown live; once 50 founding subscriptions exist the offer closes.
The offer is open: 50 of the 50 seats are left.
Separately, the 20 founding testers who used epnote through its beta were promised Founding at $19 a month for life. That promise stands: their price is applied from their own account and is not one of the 50 seats above.
4. Clinic
Clinic is one subscription for a practice: $99 a month for up to 5 exercise physiologists, the owner included, on one invoice. A seat shares one thing, exporting without a limit; every EP’s clients, drafts and assessments stay encrypted on their own device, and the owner cannot see them. If the clinic subscription ends, each member returns to their own free or paid plan with everything of theirs untouched.
Clinic is not on sale yet: it is held back until epnote can sync encrypted work between devices, because a shared plan is worth little without it. Email us if you want it sooner.
5. Referrals
Every account has a referral link. When a colleague creates an account through it and exports their first report, both accounts get two more free reports, once. There is no cash, no commission, and a referral of yourself or of another of your own addresses does not count.
6. Billing and payment
Payments are taken by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe directly and are never seen or stored by epnote. A plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period (a month or a year) until you cancel. Stripe emails you a receipt for each payment and tells you if a payment fails; a failed payment is retried, and if it is not resolved the plan ends and the account returns to the free plan. Invoices are available on your billing page at any time.
7. Cancelling
Cancel at any time from the billing page in Settings (Stripe's customer portal). Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew. Deleting your account cancels a live subscription at once.
8. Refunds
We do not refund the unused part of a billing period after you cancel; you keep the plan until the period ends. This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law: if the service is not what we said it is, you may be entitled to a remedy, and we honour those rights.
9. Your consumer rights
Our services come with consumer guarantee rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies them. For a major failure you are entitled to cancel and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value; for any other failure you are entitled to have it fixed within a reasonable time.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. Price changes are notified by email at least 30 days ahead; other changes are shown in the app before they take effect. Continuing your subscription after a change means you accept it; you can always cancel first.
